“What is a Superlife for a pet?” This is the question that Wildology asks every time it crafts a pet food recipe, because a healthy pet is a pet that can do everything it wants to do — like playing, fetching, climbing, and running.
And only a recipe filled with complete nutrition and wholesome ingredients (yep, all the good stuff) can help pets do that. This is where Wildology comes in.
Here at DogFood.Guide we have a dedicated mission to provide dog owners like you with well-researched information so they can provide the nutrition and health care towards their dogs.
Our readers rely upon our dog food articles, reviews and recall alerts that we took the time to research. We also routinely update and review our own reviews ensuring that any changes by manufacturers are brought to your attention.
DogFood.Guide is maintained by Mary Nielsen & her staff. Mary is an advocate and lover. She and her staff are passionate about animals and work hard to provide you with a wealth of information for you and your dog.

To get to know more about this relatively new brand, let’s focus our Wildology dog food review on how this line of food products can help your pet, what is in each food, and if it’s something that will be good for your dog.
There are very few reviews available for Wildology food products, so it would be hard to make a detailed pro and con list. However, we’ve compiled the ones we’ve found to help you in your decision on whether it’s the right dog food for your pup or not.
About The Dog and Cat Food Brand
There is limited information about Wildology on its website. What we do know is that Wildology is owned by Midco Distributing LLC and its products are made by known pet food manufacturers Diamond Pet Foods, the same company that produces Taste of the Wild and Diamond.
As of the moment, you can only buy Wildology foods from select pet food stores because most of the large pet food websites do not yet stock these.
How Does Wildology Pet Food Help Your Pooch?
Made with simple and natural ingredients, Wildology pet foods keep all of the junk out while filling your pet’s bowl with all the good stuff.
The brand is known for developing a patent-pending blend of superfoods and probiotics called the Superlife PRO that focuses on whole body health and holistic canine nutrition.
According to the brand, Superlife PRO is a key ingredient in a pet’s overall wellness. The probiotics in the mixture maintain a healthy balance between good and bad bacteria in the gut.
Combined with known superfoods like kale, blueberries, and pumpkin, Superlife PRO should give your pet the boost he needs to live a full and happy life.
If you’re looking for grain free food, Wildology is not for you. All of their products contain healthy grains that provide the carbohydrate needs of your pet. However, if you are looking for legume free dog foods, then this brand is perfect for your pup.

Wildology Dog Food Review
1. Wildology Adore [Lamb & Rice Recipe]
First 5 Ingredients: Lamb, Beef Meal, White Rice, Oatmeal, Cracked Pearled Barley
Guaranteed analysis:
Adore is a dog food recipe that utilizes two types of meats (real lamb and beef) to provide your pup with all the protein that he needs. It’s crafted with wholesome ingredients, such as grains and a medley of antioxidant fruits and vegetables for your dog’s overall wellness.
This dog food is designed for all life stages and breeds. The protein is a bit on the low side if you’re planning to give it to a puppy or growing dog, but it is just right for the maintenance of an adult dog.
However, we do have to point out that it meets the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO for All Life Stages, including the growth of large breed canines.
What reviewers think:
We’ve found three reviewers only for this recipe, all of whom gave it a 5-star score. One owner whose dogs are usually sensitive to different dog foods immediately took to Adore. Another owner mentioned that her pet loves this flavor and has developed a good coat on it. And the third customer gave it a five star rating for quality.
2. Wildology Play [Chicken & Brown Rice Puppy Formula]
First 5 Ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Meal, Whole Grain Brown Rice, Cracked Pearled Barley, Dried Yeast
Guaranteed analysis:
Play is specifically crafted to sustain the needs of a growing dog. It only utilizes one type of meat (chicken) to ensure that your developing pup is not exposed to too many kinds of proteins during this crucial growth period.
The protein content (27%) is excellent and is perfect to sustain the energy needs of an active and healthy pup who is going through a growth spurt.
The fat content is 15%, a tad bit higher than in some of Wildology’s recipes but since little ones go through energy stores quicker, this is fine.
There is glucosamine and l-carnitine present in this recipe. The glucosamine helps absorb some of the shocks on joints that your little pooch may incur during heavy play (because that’s what puppies mostly do). The l-carnitine, meanwhile, turns the fat in the food into more usable energy.
What reviewers think:
Play also has three reviewers so far who all gave it a 5-star rating. All of them mentioned how their pets loved Play and how these pooches inhaled the food and licked their bowls clean. Their dogs’ coats have also been reported as being shinier with energy going through the roof.
3. Wildology Fetch [Beef & Rice Recipe]
First 5 Ingredients: Beef, Beef Meal, White Rice, Oatmeal, Whole Grain Brown Rice
Guaranteed analysis:
Created for dogs of all life stages and breeds, Fetch is a recipe that sticks to one type of animal protein source — beef. If your pup is sensitive to other animal proteins except for this red meat, then this may be the right food for him.
The protein content here is on the high side at 26%, making it ideal for active puppies or energetic adults. There’s more than enough to sustain your dog’s daily energy needs. As always, there are omega fatty acids present to keep your pup’s coats and skin looking healthy and beautiful.
What reviewers think:
We’ve only found one reviewer so far for this formulation, and she gave it a 5-star score for being a super premium food. According to the review, both of her Goldendoodles loved the flavor. Plus points too for giving her pups shiny eyes and coats after only a month of feeding Fetch. The only downside she could think of is the higher price.
4. Wildology Swim [Salmon & Brown Rice Recipe]
First 5 Ingredients: Salmon, Ocean Fish Meal, White Rice, Oatmeal, Whole Grain Brown Rice
Guaranteed analysis:
Swim is a dog food recipe aimed at canines who absolutely love the taste of the ocean. The meal uses salmon and ocean fish meal as the meat sources for its animal protein content.
And because it’s made for all life stages and breeds, puppies to young-at-heart dogs will be able to enjoy the sumptuous fishy treat.
Regarding the food’s analysis, it has a good level of protein at 26%, just the right amount of fat at 15%, and of course, the usual Wildology blend of guaranteed live probiotics and antioxidants for holistic growth and maintenance.
One advantage of an All Life Stage recipe is when you have a multiple dog household made up of pooches of varying ages or breed sizes. The formulation makes for convenient feeding.
What reviewers think:
The review we found for Swim is quite short and comes from just one person. It gets a 4 star rating out of 5 for getting all of three of the customer’s pets raring to eat.
5. Wildology Chase [Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe]
First 5 Ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Meal, Turkey Meal, Whole Grain Brown Rice, White Rice
Guaranteed analysis:
Wildology Chase dog food is crafted to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO for the maintenance of an adult dog. It is specially made for those highly active dogs that need to be always on the move.
With a protein level of 32%, it’s a nutrient-dense formulation that helps fuel the high energy needs of performance canines. The protein is highly concentrated due to the presence of three kinds of animal proteins (Chicken, chicken meal, and turkey meal) in the first five ingredients list.
Apart from the usual content of vitamins and chelated minerals all Wildology recipes have, it also includes glucosamine and chondroitin. These two help support against the constant shocks and jolts to the joints of active doggies.
What reviewers think:
Chase gets a full score of 5 out of 5 from one reviewer whose border collie simply loves the food and would be found pawing and scratching at the dog food container. According to him, his dog has never reacted to any dog food like that before which must mean that it really does taste like “ribeye” to a dog.
6. Wildology Sprint [Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe For Large Breeds]
First 5 Ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Meal, Whole Grain Brown Rice, Cracked Pearled Barley, White Rice
Guaranteed analysis:
Sprint is a delicious recipe made up of the Wildology staple, chicken and brown rice. It is a dry dog food that is intended for large pets of all life stages.
The entire makeup of the recipe is intended to keep your large pooch’s immune system strong and his overall body health at an excellent level.
Wholesome ingredients like chia seeds, dried beet pulp, and various fruits and veggies combined with the healthy protein sources provide pups with the ultimate nourishment.
A probiotic blend responsible for creating balance between the good and bad bacteria in your pet’s digestive system completes the formulation.
What reviewers think:
Four pet owners gave Sprint a combined average of 4.4 out of 5 stars score. Three gave the dog food a full score for giving their pets quality coats, a healthy weight, and bright and shiny noses.
They also mentioned how their dogs love the taste. They have also reported that Sprint caused their pets to be more upbeat with on-point energy.
One lone reviewer did give the food a two-star rating for giving her pup “horrible runs.”
7. Wildology Hike [Chicken & Brown Rice Canned Recipe]
First 5 Ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Broth, Whole Grain Brown Rice, Carrots, Egg
Guaranteed analysis:
Dogs who go wild over chicken will find their match in this wet dog food recipe called Hike. The formulation is made with a single animal protein source and nutritious grains for a delicious meal that’s right for small to large breed dogs of all ages.
The protein is quite high in this diet. It’s supposed to get your pups ready to hike all day long with its energy-packed formulation.
What reviewers think:
There are no reviewers yet for this canned food, although its dry dog food counterpart is highly received by customers who praised the recipe for its quality ingredients. One buyer also said that her mastiffs seem more energetic when fed Hike.
8. Wildology Wiggle [Chicken & Oatmeal Canned Recipe For Small Breeds]
First 5 Ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Broth, Oatmeal, Pearled Barley, Dried Yeast
Guaranteed analysis:
Wiggle is a savory chicken and oatmeal recipe designed to satisfy the high energy needs of a small breed dog of any age.
Small breed dogs, surprisingly, use up a lot of energy faster than their large breed counterparts due to their unique metabolism. Wiggle provides this through its protein-dense, one-animal-protein-source makeup.
Aside from its high protein formulation, Wildology thoughtfully added glucosamine into the mixture to keep the joints of small pooches, particularly little senior dogs, healthy and flexible. The supplement can alleviate joint pains and keep your older small dog, if you have one, more mobile.
What reviewers think:
We’ve only managed to get one review for this canned dog food so far. It’s a 5-star out of 5, by the way, from a pet owner whose Shih Tzu is a picky eater with IBS.
According to the buyer, this formulation works well with her dog’s sensitive digestion and is the only one of a few pet food brands that her pooch will touch.
9. Wildology Delight [Chicken & Oatmeal Canned Recipe For Seniors]
First 5 Ingredients: Chicken, Chicken Broth, Oatmeal, Pearled Barley, Guar Gum
Guaranteed analysis:
Delight is another chicken and oatmeal recipe by Wildology, but this time it’s targeted towards a senior dog of any breed size.
Older dogs, those who are 7 years or older, have different nutritional needs that have to be addressed for overall body health and ultimate nourishment.
The protein here is sufficient for fueling older muscles, but the calorie and fiber content are lower. The reason for this is that pets can get more inactive as they age, which means that fewer calories are burned and more will be stored as fat. The fiber may also decrease the absorption of essential nutrients so there’s less here.
What reviewers think:
We haven’t been able to find any customer review for the Delight recipe, either canned or dry. We will just base this section on how we perceive the formulation of the recipe, and as far as we can see, it’s a good one.
There’s only one protein source (ideal for sensitive canines), an excellent source of fat (salmon oil), and it includes all the good stuff that you want to see in dog food.

Conclusion
Pros About The Brand:
- Meat-first and grain-based daily diet
- Uses Superlife Pro
- Always includes a probiotic blend
- Guaranteed levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in all recipes
- Responsibly-sourced and sustainably-sourced ingredients
Cons About The Brand:
- Some recipes contain canola oil
- Not transparent about ingredient sources
Do we recommend Wildology Dog Food? Yes. It has mostly healthy ingredients, and we approve of the meat-first makeup of the dog food formulations.
All of its dog food recipes contain guaranteed live probiotics, which means that Wildology recognizes the importance of a healthy gut to a dog’s overall wellness.
The brand relies much on the use of grains for its formulations. If it’s not a grain free diet you’re looking for, Wildology products would be a healthy alternative to your dog’s current food.
There are no problematic ingredients like carrageenan, artificial colors or flavorings, and so on. This pet’s diet does use canola oil in some of its recipes, though canola isn’t really considered harmful.
The main disadvantage with canola oil is that if it’s not declared as organic, then it most probably has gone through a whole lot of processing.
The only issue we really have with this brand is that its sources for ingredients are not listed on its site. More transparency would have been better regarding its sourcing process and recipes.
We also wish the brand could make its products more widely available, especially in large online stores, so that it would be easier to gather reviews from fellow pet parents about the foods’ effect on their doggos.
